Marseille Express: Bambina

Marseille Express was formed by the jazz guitarist Jacques Barreau. Jacques studied music at the Marseille Conservatory and taught electro-acoustic music at the University of Aix en Provence. Drummer Ed Eblen and bassist Joe Iaquinto played with numerous Grammy winners in the fields of pop, rock and country. Their diverse musical backgrounds make Marseille Express a unique unit. By mixing the elements of traditional melodic jazz, European avant-garde music, urban grooves and simple folk tunes, the band creates music that is demanding and yet works across the board. Sarah Underwood is one of the finest woodwind players in Los Angeles and a respected music teacher. The album "Bambina" was released in 2009.
